We Should All Thank Nicole Levine

Hey, Silent Sleepers!

Unfortunately, while you’re sound asleep every night, bed bugs are making their claim on the same mattress where you catch your zzz’s. Is there no way to stop the little buggers? Well, there is Bed Bug 911. Available here at Everything Summer Camp is the Hybrid Mattress Encasement as well as the Vinyl Mattress Cover from Bed Bug 911bed bug 911.

What is Bed Bug 911? They’re a leading manufacturer of products concerning bed bugs. But their services don’t end there. Bed Bug 911 also offers their services as bed bug exterminators. What they do is they offer everything you need (be it product or service) in order to get rid of your bed bugs forever!

Founded in 2005, when New York began to panic over their epidemic of bed bugs. Before its existence, president of Bed Bug 911, Nicole Levine was the owner of a different company called Home Clean Home (HCH)—catchy name, huh? Well, this company was soon overwhelmed with customer requests for bed bug treatment. Customers of HCH—residential and commercial—were seeing bed bug infestation like no one had since the 1950’s.

Nicole Levine was aware of the side effects people had to the chemicals and insecticides used for bed bug extermination, causing bad allergic reactions and, in some much more extreme cases, cancer and neurotoxicity. Nicole went straight to work developing an organic line of bed bug sprays and other means of preventing bed bug infestation.

Three years ago, she was celebrated as the Businesswoman of the Year by the New Independent Democrats. She credits her company’s unprecedented success to the importance it places on customer service. We here at Everything Summer Camp are proud to offer products from Bed Bug 911 to make your kid’s summer safe and bed bug-free.

The History of Prince Tennis Company

Posted on

Hey, Tennis Devotees!

Do you know who the real titan of tennis is? When you’re talking about the top, there’s no question about it, Prince is the king! So how did a colossus of the courts ever get into the business of tennis equipment? What did the beginning look like for Prince?

Well, nearly 45 years ago, it looked pretty different than it does now. There weren’t any racquets, strings, footwear, apparel—HECK!—I’m not sure that they had tennis balls that actually said “Prince” on them! So what did they sell?

The company was founded in 1970 by a man named Bob McClure. By reversing the motor of a vacuum cleaner in his garage, Mr. McClure had engineered the world’s first ball machine for home courts. The machine came to be known as The Little Prince and he’s what started it all for Prince Tennis.

Constant leaders in innovation and technological advancements, Prince knew how to set itself apart from the competition from the beginning. They developed their racquets beyond what anyone else had ever attempted. By 1979, Prince racquets had become the racquets that “top players” used.

By 1995, Prince introduced the Longbody Racquet which came to receive the title “World’s #1 Racquet.” Famous tennis champions such as Pat Cash, Monica Seles, Patrick Rafter, Jana Novotná, Jennifer Capriata, Juan Carlos, Maria Sharapova, and Josh Isner won their matches, playing with nothing other than their favorite of Prince racquets.

Everything Summer Camp is more than excited to be working alongside a company with such an obvious understanding of how business is done. You can find amazing racquets, tennis bags, and new tennis balls from Prince right here at your one stop shop where you can find all sorts of gear and supplies for all your summer camp needs—Everything Summer Camp.

Hey, Blog Buddies!

Everything Summer Camp just loves to give credit where credit is due! That’s where our blog posts come in handy because we get to spread the word about great companies with whom we have the pleasure of doing business.

Get to know the game that other companies play and learn how some great companies got started like Woolrich, Columbia, and Speedo. Today I’m going to talk about the very popular kid’s toymakers and game creators from the Melissa & Doug company—Melissa and Doug.M&D logo

Melissa and Doug Bernstein first started making toys for kids and educational games in the garage of the home where Doug grew up. His parents still lived there too so the couple had to be careful not to disturb them in their everyday life. That was more than 25 years ago in 1988.

But things have changed quite a bit since the two of them first got their start. The company has gone global with more than 1200 employees, great success, and steady growth. Melissa and Doug eventually moved into an actual office building just down the road from his parents’ house.

With an obvious appreciation for their customers and fans, Melissa and Doug are continuously striving to give back to the people who have supported them. That’s why each and every one of Melissa & Doug’s 2000 inventive products are of such excellent value, qualiflip to win memoryty, and design.

The toys and games offered at Melissa & Doug cover a broad range for children of all ages. That way everyone can enjoy at least one of the many, fun products that Melissa & Doug provide. They also welcome word from their customers for suggestions about the products they make.

Everything Summer Camp is thrilled to do business with a company so focused on quality and success. Until next time, Camp Fans.

The History of Hi-Tec Footwear

Posted on

Hey there, Camp Fans!

A few days ago, I talked about Teva—footwear manufacturers whose shoes you can find right here at Everything Summer Camp. Today I want to talk about another footwear supplier whose shoes we offer on our one-stop, online shop for all your summer camp needs.

Today I’m talking about Hi-Tec. This is one company who you can always trust to make an excellent pair of hard-wearing, long-lasting, all-purpose shoes! Whether you want to go for hi tec hiking boota casual stroll, a rugged hike, or a crazy game of Capture the Flag—Hi-Tec can see you through to the end!

The company got its start nearly forty years ago in 1974, England. From their early beginnings, Hi-Tec had already made their claim to fame with the lightweight hiking shoe. It married all of the rugged construction and durability of a hiking boot with the lightweight, casual feel that you get from tennis shoes.

While they enjoy making additional installments to the items they offer, Hi-Tec likes to stay true to its roots and continue perfecting their existing footwear and outdoor apparel. By 1990, Hi-Tec debuted as the very first lightweight hiker in the United States.

At that point they’d only had about fifteen years of experience, but they would soon become a leading company in footwear and outdoor apparel. Now, with nearly four decades of innovation in technology under their belt, Hi-Tec really has their craft down.

In 1995, they sponsored the first Eco-Challenge in history and the next year they launched their Adventure Races Series to mass market. One element of Hi-Tec’s success is their consistency in new products. Most recently, in 2008, they introduced the world’s first ion-mask boot.

So get a sturdy pair of Hi-Tec sneakers for your summer camp experience this season and have a blast at camp!

History of The Mint Company

Posted on

Hey, Camp Fans!

Today I’m going to talk about one excellent company with whom Everything Summer Camp is proud to be working alongside, Mint. Go ahead and shop online at Everything Summer Camp where you can find great quality, Mint products like laundry bags and mint laundry baghanging toiletry bags for great, affordable prices!

Mint is a company, like many companies (and like Everything Summer Camp), that has evolved from another company. That original company was called the Flying Circle Bag Company.

This company started on a family ranch about twenty years ago by, Joy and Jim Chittim. They sold military bags as well as a line of bags for kids—the latter being the department that Christi Chittum eventually came to run.

After taking a break to have her baby, Christi began another full-time job as a mother for the next three years. At that point, Christi got back to business with the kid’s line side of the Flying Circle Bag Company only this time she called it Mint. Ready to put her creativity to good use along with a bunch of great ideas, Mint was well on its way to the next level of business.

Today, Mint sends out their very own Mint boxes to over six thousand retail storefronts and Web-based businesses throughout the United States as well as international locations like Hong Kong, Singapore, Israel, the United Kingdom, and Toronto. All along the way, Mint has continued to see a loyal following, growth, and success.

It takes the dedicated, hard work of about a dozen people to keep Mint running smoothly and every one of them appreciates the work they do with us at Everything Summer Camp.

That’s all for today, Summer Camp Fans! Until next time.
