Sierra Designs

Sierra Designs Logo

Founded in 1965 by Bob Swanson and George Marks, Sierra Designs was built on the basis of providing excellent gear to adventurous spirits from all walks, whether you’re an expert thru-hiker or a first-year summer camper. Bob and George first met as coworkers at The Ski Hut, an outdoor equipment retailer in Berkeley, where the two often dreamed of owning their own business. Little did they know they wouldn't have to wait much longer for their opportunity to create their own camping gear.
