Pledge to Brown Ledge

Hey, Camp Fans!

I was just looking into a wonderful camp on the eastern coast. I’m swinging our summer camp spotlight here at Everything Summer Camp to the banks of Lake Champlain—just eight miles north of Burlington, Vermont. I’m talking about a girls camp called Brown Ledge. An overnight camp for girls ages from 10-18 years of age, Brown Ledge sits on Mallets Bay, the largest bay on Lake Champlain. Brown Ledge boasts 1500 feet of waterfront on the biggest bay of the biggest New England lake. A combination of fields and woods on the Brown Ledge campgrounds produce a perfect summer camp setting.

There are lots of activities to keep you busy at Brown Ledge—there’s Horseback Riding, Tennis, Archery, Riflery, Water Sports, Studio Arts & Crafts, Theater, Dance, and so much more. A very different camp, the choice of how to spend the day is up to each individual camper. You can spend all day horseback riding, or try to fit as many of the 18 available activities as you can into one day.

Brown Ledge certainly lends a remote feeling, but really, the campsite is just a 15 minute drive to civilization: Vermont’s largest city, Burlington. The state’s finest hospital and an abundance of physicians in all kinds of specialties at the University of Vermont Medical school are both extremely nearby.

Brown Ledge gives girls a clearer image of themselves—one that’s untouched by their established reputation of who they are from back home. This camp experience will give your camper more option than most other camps will which just may give her an idea of what she’s really passionate about. Or it may give her an extremely well-rounded getaway.
