Executing the Elements at Camp Weaver

Posted on

Hey, Camp Fans!

Your camp stories for the Everything Summer Camp ‘Share Your Camp Story’ Contest were all so great! I had such a fun time reading through them all and have been hard at work, publishing each one of them right here on the Blog to share with all our readers! We’ve been at it for several months now, but we still have a few stories more to share.

The following entry came from Landon W. who wrote in to us to tell about his time this summer at Camp Weaver in North Carolina. Read his submission right now:

“My name is Landon, I am 11 years old and I went to Camp Weaver this summer. The best part of camp was meeting new people, making new friends and getting to do really cool activities. My favorite activity was ropes course. The counselors were really encouraging and I was proud of myself for doing really well on the elements. I liked getting up on the ladder, being attached to the harness, dropping and swinging.”

Cool, Landon! I think that the best part of summer camp is often times the people you meet! It’s great to hear that you enjoyed meeting new people and making so many good friendships. It’s really nice when there are good folks around you supporting and encouraging you through challenging activities. Nice job conquering the ropes course! Sounds like loads of fun at Camp Weaver, Landon. Thanks for sharing this submission with us.

If anybody else would like to look into attending a summer camp stay at Camp Weaver, you can look around their website when you click right here to see if it might be the right place for you and your camper. Until next time, thanks for reading. And, as always, Happy Camping!
