Take Everything with you; High Sierra Daypacks and Backpacks

Posted on

Hey, Camp Aficionados!

It’s the last day of April which means summer camp is right around the corner for most of you. Just about any summer camper should have a backpack that they bring to camp whether you’re attending a weeklong trip or longer.

The type of backpack you get depends more on how much you expect to be outdoors, hiking trails and camping out. For extended bouts outside that last multiple days, an Internal Frame or External Frame Backpack is recommended; but for any single-day outing or even a quick overnighter, you can’t go wrong with any one of our Daypacks from High Sierra.

With a High Sierra Daypack, you can get out there and do what you love to do this summer. Hike, climb, run, ride your bike, or just relax on the beach in total preparedness and convenience with a Daypack on your back. These packs are sure to carry your needs.

Because Daypacks are typically lightweight themselves, these packs are intended to be used for lighter loads than the bigger, framed backpacks—which is why they’re meant to be used for only daylong activities. No more than ten to fifteen pounds in these guys!

Daypacks are usually soft-backed and frameless packs.

High Sierra’s Daypacks all have a waist belt to offer you the proper weight distribution you should have when carrying weights that range ten to fifteen pounds.

The waist belts are there to allow your camper to walk freely without the pack load hitting them in the back with every step they take. Waist belts should be worn snug on the hips without overlapping the pads. This way the weight of the pack is focused around the waist and takes some of the load off of the shoulders.

Check out our Daypacks from High Sierra and be prepared for your summer camp outings.

Ten happy campers, along with a minimum of two cabin counselors, make up each of our tight-knit, gender-specific cabins. As a cabin family, the campers and staff members set out for daily adventures, enjoy exciting activities and explore this magical place called Highlander. C&N Manufacturing: Home of the Footlocker

Posted on

Hey, Crazy Campers!

If you’re an avid reader of our blog and a frequent visitor on our website, then you may already know some of what I’ll be discussing in today’s post—like how Everything Summer Camp wasn’t always called Everything Summer Camp. The company used to be C&N Footlockers, named after Craig and Nancy Cornell.building

Craig and Nancy founded C&N in 1987, manufacturing their classic trunks right out of the proverbial home-garage in Boyd, Wisconsin. There they made 380 black footlockers—all the same size—with unmatched, rugged construction. Along with excellent customer service, C&N Footlockers was sure to be a success.

As business picked up, they started offering trunks in more colors and different sizes. In need of more space for the manufacturing and storage of their trunks, they soon relocated. The business continued to grow and they relocated once again to a bigger building.

This final move was to the same building that we reside in today, although we've added on for even more space over the years! In the building’s factory is where every single C&N Footlocker is manufactured.

We remain modest people at Everything Summer Camp, but facts are facts and C&N Footlockers are truly the best camp trunks you can find. Made with unquestionably rock-solid craftsmanship, C&N Footlockers are built to last a lifetime.

Everything Summer Camp, the home of C&N Footlockers, now offers four different trunk sizes, twenty solid colors and a black trim option. We have create-your-own designs and dozens of designer pattern choices. We also offer lots of awesome trunk accessories that really optimize the use of your camp trunks.

A lot has changed since we got our start twenty-six years ago, but we’re still just as dedicated to making our trunks the same way we always have. That’s why we still brand every trunk we make with the C&N Footlockers emblem. Happy camping!

Stick it to ‘em with our Stick On Name Labels

Hey, Camp Preppers!

As I mentioned on this blog a couple days ago, it’s very important to label your belongings at camp be it a water bottle, flashlight, toothbrush, etc.—whatever you may have, you want to make sure that you’re bringing the same items back home with you as when you first left for camp.

Could you imagine bringing home someone else’s water bottle? Or worse—their toothbrush?!

At Everything Summer Camp, we’ve been hard at work in between our busy summer camp seasons, developing and perfecting our processes for the products that we make right here in our own facility. Our New Stick On Name Labels are a great improvement from the original product—our Waterproof Name Labels.Stick On Labels_Main_rgb

Not a whole lot has changed about this product from one name to the next. You still get to choose exactly what you want your name labels to read, the labels are still just as powerfully waterproof as they always were, they’re even printed on the same glossy, waterproof pages that we used last year.

So what’s the difference between the Waterproof kids Name Labels from last year and our dazzling new Stick On Name Labels this year? We thought to offer colorized name labels. We basically dye the waterproof label sheets a variety of fun colors and offer four of our very own, cool designs as well—the Camo, Hex, Botanical Explosion, and Dots backgrounds.

These colorful labels are durable and stick to any hard, smooth, and clean surface. Have fun spelling out your name and anything else you want your labels to read and we’ll print it out on our shiny, variety of awesome backgrounds. Make sure all of your gear is tagged and decorated with these fun, NEW Stick On Personalized Name Labels!

Till next time, Campers!
