Stickers, Stationery, and More

Posted on

Pack lots of stationary, stickers, fun, colored pens. Pre address and stamp envelopes for ease.  Be sure to send your children letters well before they are arriving at camp so the letters will be waiting for them. Camp mail is the best! Do not tell your children how much you miss them in letters.  That could create a sense of guilt/homesickness for them, and they will imagine you sad at home wishing they weren’t at camp.  Just tell them how excited you are to hear about all of their new friends and adventures.

Set Aside Camp Items

Posted on

I label and set aside items my son will use for camp in a clear plastic bin as I acquire them throughout the year and then it it really easy to pack his trunk!

Rumpl Blankets

Posted on

We use a Rumpl blanket as a bedspread/comforter.  Dirt brushes off easily and it dries quickly.

Batteries

Always send more batteries than you think your camper needs. It’s no fun note being able to use your portable fan in the summer heat!

Watches

Take a watch to wear, especially overnight, so if you wake up early, you know what time it is.
