Try The Food

Posted on

The food at camp was always so good. I however am a picky eater. Try the food! I tried some foods that didn't seem appetizing and they ended up being amazing or some things I ended up not liking as much but always try the food!

Get Dirty

Don't be afraid to try new things. You're at camp, get a little dirty. Some activities might have you get messy so when your packing, bring clothes you don't care about.

New Activities

Posted on

New activities can be scary, but if you look at all the activities that you're amazing at and love to do now, there was always that time in your life before you had ever tried it, when it too was new to you. New challenges come your way daily and it's definitely not about being good at it straight away. So try to focus on your own personal mini challenges that may be associated with the activity first, be it simple things such as dressing appropriately for it (looking the part gets you half way there), being on time, watching what other people enjoy about the activity and most importantly have fun.

Good Moods Make Great Memories

Posted on

I've only been going to Arbutus for four years and I have gone to another camp before being organized is key, however its not the most important thing. For me personally camp is so much better when everyone is in a happy mood yeah your going to have those days but keeping a good attitude about whether you liked an activity or not or anything else really is so much better of an environment when everyone is having fun and someones just being a grinch it immediately brings the mood of the whole cabin down so have a good time and have fun!

Branch Out, Try New Things

Don’t be afraid to try new things, because they could end up being your favorite. For example, I tried riflery and I loved it!
