Setting Up Your Bunk

Setting up your bunk:
I pack my trunk in reverse so it’s all right on top. I first always put a fitted sheet on your bed, then sleeping bag and pillows and loveys. This gives you some we’re to sit and unpack. Next I get my lights and lanterns and fans out as it gets dark and hot fast. Make it like home you will be there a while and keep it clean and organized. Find a good spot to put your laundry bag as it’s going to get used daily also an garbage can helps keep the area clean. My camp doesn’t have large cabins with cabinets or anything so I live out of my trunk. Once all my cabin stuff is talked out I put my shirts on one side of my trunk with bras or anything else and then my pants with all undergarments and socks. This allows me to get dressed early and fast. I’m a hoodie lover even in the summer and I can’t always choose what ones to wear so I sometimes pack 5 for a week so I hang them up using hooks.

Pack in Reverse

Posted on

Packing in reverse. Imagine your trunk is split in half, put your clothing on the one half by starting to l, Put all your clothing for the days at the bottom. Than your pajamas near the top. I usually put shirts on one side pants on the other or if using badges outfits just put them all on the bottom. After I put my few pairs of pajamas on top of that personally for a week I bring 3 sets of pj. Depending on your trunk height I’m able to put my sheet, laundry blankets on top of my pajamas. Now in the other side I have my swimsuit and towels. On top of that I put my shower caddy, mine is mesh, and my dry hygiene bag next to it. On top of that I put my packing cubes with underwear and garments or small things. If room you can put sleeping bag and pillows on top. I personally put all my lights, games other little things in a duffel bag.

Packing for Younger Kids

Posted on

For short programs or for younger kids: packing an outfit a day in a gallon ziplock bag. Put a pair of shorts and or pants, undergarments and shirt along with socks all in a bag so they can just grab and get ready. Also pack extra outfits like this, it also allows staff if needed to grab littles their extra outfits. Always a pack extra socks, and underwear.
