Have a plan where you are going to put everything you are taking in your trunk and bags before you actually pack. It saves time when it’s time to truly pack, and uses space efficiently.

Pack socks in the horseback riding helmet. More things you can stuff the better!

Don’t pack anything in your kids’ trunks that you will be devastated if they don’t return with it or if it’s ruined upon return. Camp is messy, kids are disorganized and lose things easily and camp probably launders all of their clothes together in hot or warm water. (Pre wash reddish colored items several times at home before packing if they’re new!)

For packing your trunk, use packing cubes! They keep things need and tidy and it's easy to find what you need in a pinch.

Don’t overpack clothes. A little goes a long way, as it’s easy to lose things in a cabin. Don’t forget you’ll be spending a lot of time in a swim suit.
