Today I’m talking about Columbia Sportswear’s technologically amazing Columbia jackets and Insect Blocking Clothing. From rain jackets to bug repelling pants, Columbia has you covered for camp.

Seal out the wet stuff with incredible rain jackets from Columbia like the Wet Reflect Jacket, the Flow Summit II, the Wind Racer II, the Watertight in Men’s, the Arcadia Rain Jacket in Women’s, and the kids’ Chromatech. All of these rain jackets are top of the line with fine detailing and quality construction.

On yesterday’s post we took a look at Columbia Sportswear’s cool, technical apparel for girls that we’re now carrying at Everything Summer Camp. Today I’m talking about Columbia’s cool clothing for boys. Read this post to learn about Columbia’s latest clothing technology and quality construction.

To kick things off we have the Silver Ridge II Short Sleeve Tech Tee. Columbia makes it with moisture-wicking Omni-Wick and protective-against-UV-rays Omni-Shade UPF 30. This shirt is made for the outdoors and it’s antimicrobial.

Columbia Sportswear makes great boys’ shorts. The Silver Ridge II Short is made of 100% nylon Summit Cloth with Omni-Wick and Omni-Shade UPF 30 fabric. Rugged, these shorts are perfect for summer camp. They’re quick to dry, lightweight, breathable, and comfy.

The Silver Ridge II Convertible Pant is certainly one the more impressive garments from Columbia. Extremely versatile, these pants easily turn into 9” inseam shorts! Just zip the legs off and—voila! Also made with Omni-Wick and Omni-Shade UPF 30, Columbia’s Convertible Pant is comfy and dries fast.

Columbia’s Mega Trail Short is great for hiking and playing around outside. Columbia treats these shorts with rain and stain repellency to keep them looking good. They’re made with partial elastic at the waist and a cargo pocket. Unpredictable weather doesn’t matter much to these shorts. They dry fast and are made with Omni-Shade UPF 50 for protection from the sun.

Columbia apparel is constructed with some seriously technical materials so, here, you can read up on the latest technology and quality construction that goes into making this amazingly breathable, comfortable, and protective apparel.

Hey, Camp Aficionados!

If you haven’t already gotten a good flashlight for summer camp, this post should be of great interest to you. Last month I talked about the amazing new product that we started selling here at Everything Summer Camp (the Hybrid Solar Flashlight).

Today I’m discussing our other, new alternative to the Hybrid Solar Flashlight: Lazerbrite’s Modular Flashlights. Equally impressive in very different ways, both of these flashlights make excellent choices for summer camp.

Let me tell you why LazerBrite’s LED flashlights are so great.You’ve never seen a flashlight before that can match the versatility and overall handiness that LazerBrite’s flashlights flaunt. Their Single Mode flashlight includes one Translucent Tube and two LazerBrite heads to give you a double-ended flashlight.

Each head shines a different color of LED brilliance at two different levels of brightness. There’s also a third setting that flashes. The heads are also removable from the tube so you essentially have three separate light sources.

Whether you go with the LazerBrite Single Mode flashlight, the Multi-Lux, the Multi-Lux with LED bulbs, or the accessory kit, there’s no going wrong. The accessory kit includes an iris, a single glow dome, and a threaded attached loop to hook onto your backpack or what have you.

The iris in the accessory kit, much like the iris of your eyeball, can be dilated and expand to increase how much light your shining. This feature can be handy for any reason, but it was specifically designed to light the ground that you’re walking on without having to shine all your light at your feet. The iris and the glow dome will provide you with visibility in two different directions!
