Get To Know Juliann A Little Better

Posted on

Hey, Blog Readers!

Continuing to delve deeper into the lives of the members in our Everything Summer Camp family, today I thought we’d check back in with Juliann, our Graphic Artist. Last time I told you about Juliann’s job. How it demanded a great deal of know-how, creativity, speed, and determination. And I also talked about her assortment of responsibilities.

But today I want to give you a better picture of Juliann—not just a look at what she does Juliannaround the workplace, but rather, who she is OUTSIDE of work.

To start out, Juliann grew up on a farm in the small, small town of Independence, Wisconsin. She and her three sisters all had an enjoyable childhood on the farm, taking the occasional vacation to the Wisconsin Dells and family get-togethers at her Grandma’s house.

Now that they’ve all grown up, Juliann is more than just daughter and sister; she’s become the loving aunt of two nieces as well as the wife of her adoring husband, Brent.

These two have been together for the last five years and married for half of the time. They live in Chippewa Falls (a good middle ground between their initial homes) with their two dogs: Tanner, a chocolate lab and Winter, a Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix.

Juliann and Brent love finding time for vacations. They make annual trips to Mexico and try to get out on the water at Lake Wissota from time to time.

Lately, the two have been dedicating the majority of their free time working on home improvement projects that range from home remodeling to landscaping. Their current project has been building retaining walls for their lawn.

Always making improvements, we’re glad to have Juliann with us here at Everything Summer Camp.

Thanks for reading, Blog Fans. Till next time.

The LidMate Organizer Is Exclusive To Everything Summer Camp

Posted on

Hey, Summer Camp Fans!

It’s time again, not to Throwback to an old post, but to an old product that we’ve carried here at Everything Summer Camp for SO long, yet it is still SO GREAT! A couple weeks ago I told you about the Deluxe Fan/Light from TexSport which went through recent revamping. We’ve carried it since 2006.

Today I’m talking about a product that we’ve been carrying for almost as long: the LidMate Organizer. This product came along two years later; while it may not be as old, its story is a little more interesting than the Deluxe Fan/Light’s. Why? you ask. Because the LidMate LMOOrganizer was designed by the President and Vice President of Everything Summer Camp—Ed and Mark!

The idea first became present when Ed and Mark would visit camps and see that kids were utilizing the space on the underside of their camp trunk by taping packing lists and photos to the inside of their trunk lid. Ed and Mark went straight to work designing something that would display pictures or packing lists as well as help keep some organization for smaller items.

This product has come a LONG way since its original design. At first it was attached with just Velcro strips which weren’t strong enough to handle the items that people wanted to keep in their LidMate. Now we use turn buckles: easier to install and able to hold anything you can fit inside the LidMate!

Securely mounting the Organizer on the inside of the trunk lid offers the use of an otherwise UNusable part of the trunk. This product has always been exclusive to C&N Manufacturing—the home of Everything Summer Camp. It took some time to work out a couple of kinks but what started out as a good product is now an amazing product that most campers can’t live without!

Over time we added more pockets and pen/pencil holders, and we’ve updated the light and mirror to be more durable so that this product is basically a built-in essential to your camp trunk. Enjoy the convenience!

Hey, Blog Buddies!

I went to Kristy for our next ‘Camp Libbing’ endeavor. Being our Lead Buyer, I thought it’d be appropriate to write a Camp Lib about packing for summer camp. This summer I’ll be attending Camp Awesome Sauce. I just finished checking over the camp’s Ireland that they posted online. In my camp trunk I have all my beautiful clothing as well as all the mailmen I’ll want to bring along.

I’m bringing thirteen guinea pigs though I doubt I’ll have enough time to run all of them. After all, my camp stay is only five weeks long and I don’t plan on shuffling the entire time.

Of course, I’ve packed my pig, sandal, and other frilly products. And I take my stuffed Channing Tatum with me everywhere I go.

I got myself a spunky bag from Justice so it’s sure to hold up in dear weather conditions and messy nights. Then there’s my bling, grill, and princess just in case we get repulsive on a cool summer night.

I’m bringing a couple colors and a/n Olaf along too, but those are going in my duffel. Wha–what! I can’t WAIT to be at camp!
