Today we’re delighted to swing our spotlight south to shine down on the Rocky River Ranch summer camp for girls in Texas.Girls from Rocky River Ranch

Found in the heart of the beautiful Texas hill country in Wimberley, about halfway between Austin and San Antonio, Rocky River Ranch has shown young women the time of their lives since 1953. And with jam-packed summer days of adventuresome and educational activities, Rocky River Ranch campers grow in the best of ways.

Over the summer, they’re treated to awesome activities like Archery, Climbing Wall, Dance, Drama and Tech Theater, Fishing, Horseback Riding, Rappelling, Tennis, Yoga, and Zip Line. They also have fun in the water with games and sports for the pool as well as the River. And girls enjoy the quieter activities as well such as Baking, Crafts, Doll Making, Drawing, Gardening, Painting, Sewing, Singing, Storybook, and lots more that I’m not mentioning here!

The beautiful, natural environment of the campgrounds is combined with complimentary facilities that lend the charm of an old western town. Eat at The Grubstake Dining Hall and catch a talent show at the Forty Niner Activity Center. Other amenities like the Gold Nugget (the camp store) and The Lucky Strike Arts and Crafts Center add their own personality.

The bunkhouses are also enchantingly rustic with accommodating spaces and cute campy names with dormitory-style setup and bathrooms. Get a good look at Rocky River Ranch for your own consideration by clicking here and, as always, thanks for reading!
