It's true. We used to sell camp trunks with wheels permanently attached. The trouble with them being permanent is that footlockers go through lots of handling and travel—being thrown into car trunks, undergoing air travel, being hauled around, getting stacked—and tend to get damaged. When the wheels on camp trunks are damaged, the whole trunk is rendered useless.
Eventually, we asked ourselves how we could provide an accessory to our trunks so our customers can have wheels when they wanted them and none when they didn’t.

Once removed, the wheels can be stored away in the handy cinch sack they come in.
