Hello, Riders!

Do you know where you’re heading to camp this summer? If horseback riding is your passion, then perhaps today’s Blog post will introduce you to your next summer camp experience. We’re shining our summer camp spotlight over to the eastern border in the state of New York where we can focus in on Forrestel Riding Camp.

Get those thrills this summer at Forrestel Riding Camp. This beautiful institution sits on an 800-acre, working farm near the western tip of upstate New York—just an hour away from Niagara Falls. There, horse aficionados are provided with miles upon miles of cross-country trails to ride. Enjoy hours of exploration among the birds and the deer and oak trees!

With an obvious focus on horseback riding, Forrestel’s riding facilities include a gorgeous historic barn complex, multiple schooling rings with well-maintained grass footing, a sand ring, a wonderful outdoor hunt course, an exciting cross country-course, and a spacious indoor arena. Expect to do lots of riding when you sign up for a summer stay at Forrestel!

But this camp has more than horses! Offering a slew of traditional summer camp activities besides horseback riding, you can also enjoy Archery, Arts and Crafts, Canoeing/Kayaking, Drawing, Fishing, Pottery, Mountain Biking, Baking, Small Animal Care, Rocketry, Stable Management, Team Sports, Tennis, Woodworking, and more.

Food at Forrestel is grown directly from the farm and cooked on site! You can’t get any more fresh than that! Lunches and dinners have salads and vegetables as well as plenty of meat, pasta, milk, and juice. Cold milk and fresh fruit are offered nightly as a pre-bedtime snack!

Girls at Forrestel Riding Camp sleep in large cabin-like tents that are set up on wooden platforms raised off the ground. Typically, tents house six campers and two counselors. Bathroom and showers are nearby. Look into Forrestel Riding Camp for Girls further for your own summer escape and, as always, thanks for reading!
