The first mechanical fans were invented around the 1860s which means they had to be powered without the convenience of the electric motor. One of the old methods utilized running water in combination with a turbine. Together, they ran a system of belts that would, in turn, spin the fan blades. They used WATER to power the fan! In the case of the Water Spray Fan from Gear Up, however, it’s the fan that powers the water!
Who doesn’t love when the summer kicks things into gear with full blown heat scorchers?! But it can get to be a little too much sometimes! That’s when this Fan comes in handy. Emitting a chilled, cool breeze that decreases the temperature of the surrounding air by 30°, the Gear Up Water Spray Fan is your hero when you’re getting too hot! There’s nothing more satisfying.

Instructions: for best performance, use two, fresh alkaline AA batteries. Unscrew and open the battery compartment door to insert the batteries based on the positive and negative markings. Close the compartment door and screw it back in. Then turn the fan upside-down and unscrew the cap for easy filling with water and ice. Do not fill it with anything but water or ice. Do not freeze water in the bottle.
To turn the fan on and off, press the ON/OFF button located on the back of the fan once. If your fan isn’t turning on, check the batteries and make sure they’re installed properly. To spray mist, press the trigger.
