Share Your Camp Story
Share Your Camp Story - Entry Form
Things have changed fast with nationwide closures of stores, restaurants, sporting events, schools, and more. It means that we all have a little more time at home with our family. It also means boredom and sloth could be setting in for kids who would typically be in school. In response to this situation, we here at Everything Summer Camp thought we’d switch things up to give kids something to do. And maybe even win some gift certificates!
Our ‘Share Your Camp Story’ Contest at Everything Summer Camp has been an annual contest we’ve held for the past five years and it’s always seen great success! We tend to announce it around the end of July when summer camp sessions come to an end. But we figure, with all this time off at home, why not start right now?!
Right now is a great time to get your minds off the current affairs and put some positive thoughts down on paper. Tell us about your favorite story from last year, your best friend you met at camp, what your favorite activity was, or how much you loved your camp! Maybe you’re feeling super optimistic about this upcoming camp season and want to share what you’re most excited about. We’re all ears!
Please include your first name and your last name’s initial, the name of the camp you attended, and how long you’ve been going to camp. You only need 150 words to qualify, however, we’re looking for submissions closer to 250. In these submissions, we encourage you to talk about YOUR camp and why you think it’s the best.
Parents are more than welcome to share their experience as well! Tell us how much your kid loved camp. Have you noticed any changes in their behavior after camp? How did you fare with them being away? How will you be better prepared for the next camp season? Tell us anything you want. We’re listening!
Well, you could tell us about the things you learned at camp like how to shoot an arrow or which way is north. You could share stories about all the friends you made while you were there. You could describe how it felt to be away from home. You could exercise your creative muscle and talk about the beautiful landscapes and natural surroundings you saw at camp. Or just give us something like a journal entry that chronicles a day in the life.
If you're under 18 years of age you'll need the permission of a parent or guardian to enter the Contest.
For the this drawing all entries must be received by May 31st, 2020 no later than 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time ("CST").
