Camp Belknap
For over 120 years YMCA Camp Belknap has been providing boys with a traditional sleepaway summer camp experience in the wilderness of Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. Situated on Lake Winnipesaukee, Camp Belknap has prided itself on creating a legendary summer camp atmosphere that helps boys learn to be present in the moment while preparing them for the challenges of their futures.
Campers spend from 7 AM in the morning to 9 PM at night taking in everything the camp has to offer from self-chosen activity periods, free swims, meals, and plenty of relaxation in between. Campers have over a dozen individual activities to choose from and various camp-wide activities and competitions to participate in.
Camp Belknap Activities
Campers are encouraged to choose Camp Belknap activities based on their interests, abilities, or desires to learn. No camper is expected to be an expert at their chosen activities, nor do they have to be a complete novice to benefit from activity periods.
Swimming opportunities and lessons are available throughout the session to help develop the lifelong skill of swimming and advance in learning more strokes. Belknap offers the YMCA progressive swim program. Campers are encouraged but not required to swim.

No matter which activities campers choose they can expect to have three activity periods each day to develop their skills and further their passions.

Camp Belknap sessions are two weeks, and most campers either opt for one or two sessions. With so much time at camp, there’s quite a bit to pack to ensure your camper is comfortable while away.
