Marmot

Marmot Logo

Marmot began at UC Santa Cruz when students Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley coined the “Marmot Club” during a glaciology project—membership required climbing a glaciated peak with another Marmot. Back in their dorm, they started crafting down gear, later teaming up with climber Tom Boyce to open Marmot Mountain Works. The brand took off when 20th Century Fox ordered 108 jackets for a Clint Eastwood film, and later became an early adopter of Gore-Tex. Still rooted in adventure and quality, you can gear up like a true Marmot right here.
