Camp Shohola
Since 1943 Camp Shohola in Greenly, Pennsylvania has embraced the power of nature to help campers discover their own special talents. Camp Shohola provides campers with an experience in gorgeous Pennsylvania wilderness that helps each to grow, mature, and push the limits of their skills, and self-knowledge.
Camp Shohola also commits itself to a “small camp” experience with a nearly 2:1 camper-to-counselor ratio providing each child with more personal attention, better supervision, and more recognition. Every camper is expected to know every other camper by name. That includes the counselors and camp directors as well.
Camp Shohola Activities
Camp Shohola activities start at 7:30 AM with Wake Up Bell and then end at 9:30 PM with Taps. Campers have dedicated periods for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, alongside five distinct activity periods. Each day features free time for swimming, resting, and intercamp sports games to play.
Instructional swimming is the only activity that every camper at Camp Shohola takes. Campers receive one hour of instruction every other day at one of the six different American Red Cross swim levels.
Campers select every other activity on their daily calendar.
