Under the bed storage is always key. Make sure your luggage can fit underneath, even if it needs to be open to do so. I store my suitcase under a camp bed, opened, so their are two halves and it fits

The more personalized (whether that be name stickers or very identifiable stickers) the better, when identifying that it belongs to you, especially camp apparel.

If you need a backpack, don't have it be a draw string. They always end up super full, break, or really hurt your shoulders.

At our camp, our most lost item is beach towels, as that is not an item that kids aren't used to carrying around or to what design their parents packed for them
