Talk With Camp Friends

Posted on

Communicate occasionally with your cabin mates after camp is over. I email but texting is good too. Use major holidays and school breaks to send a quick note back & forth. Even though we don’t live in the same town it will make camp feel like I’m showing up around old friends. And that’s a great feeling!

Label Everything

Posted on

As a former camp counselor and now a parents of two campers, you must organize and label everything! Items get lost at camp, whether in the cabin or during weekly laundry. So label everything and it helps your items find their way back to you:)

Batteries

Always send more batteries than you think your camper needs. It’s no fun note being able to use your portable fan in the summer heat!

Plan Outfits

Posted on

I always make my daughters outfits and place the complete outfit in an extra large ziplock bag with the date on it. So she knows exactly what to wear everyday.
