Today, we’re shining our spotlight in the southwestern corner of Missouri, stretching from Branson to Lampe where we find a string of Kanakuk camps tucked away among the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Hundreds of thousands of campers have escaped to the summertime world of Kanakuk Christian summer camps for more than 90 years!

In 1958, Kanakuk founded their girls camp. Since then, Kanakuk has expanded their options of camping sessions from varying lengths of stays and added Specialty Kamps such as Scuba Kamp, Worldview Kamp, Family Kamp, and more!

Whatever length you choose or special session you go for, Kanakuk is committed to showing their campers the epitome of a fun summer. Activities can vary based on what you opt for, but each choice is sure to lead down a fun path; you can learn what specific activities take place at which particular camps by looking at their website. Typical waterfront activities, land sports, wilderness and adventure experience, arts & crafts abound at the Kanakuk Kamps.

Summer camp is about being away from home, building your independence, and making long-lasting bonds with new people. But at Kanakuk Kamps, most importantly, camp is about discovering and exploring your spiritual connection with God.

With practical facilities across their campgrounds and an amazing staff teams that operate it all, Kanakuk Kamps keep catching the magical moments summer after summer. Enjoy looking into these special camps for your own family experience and, as always, thanks for reading!
